Craft Beer

Craft Beer AVA National Special Program. The program runs January 1, 2027 - December 31, 2029. Redeem completed books by December 31, 2030. This program is intended to challenge participants to find breweries, taverns, tap rooms and restaurants - establishments that serve food and craft beers.

Qualifiers are 12 (two "Six-Packs") AVA sanctioned events (YRE, seasonal or traditional) where the trail passes an establishment offering a craft beer. It is not necessary to go into the establishment or buy or drink a craft beer. Simply view a menu posted outside the establishment, signage on the building or the unique name of the establishment indicating they offer craft beers.

  • To Purchase a Craft Beer Special Program Booklet

    Send your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and a check for $12 made out to Smith Mountain Lake Walking Club and mail to:

  • Completed Booklet Redemption by Email

    Redeem your completed Craft Beer Special Program Booklet by email by scanning or taking pictures of all book pages (including the front page) into a PDF, JPG, or PNG file(s), attach the file(s) to an email, then send the email to:

    The recognition award will be sent to you by US Mail.

  • Completed Booklet Redemption by US Mail

    Make a paper copy of the entire booklet. Please do not send the original booklet. Once you have made a copy to include all pages, mail it to:

    The paper copy will not be returned. The recognition award will be returned to you by US Mail.
